Kaiser Foundation: Women's Health Policy - Provides a variety of information related to women's policy issues including reproductive rights, health care coverage, access to prenatal care, HIV/AIDS, and sexual health.

Women's Health Action is a charitable trust with the aim of providing women with high quality information and education services to enable them to maintain their health and make informed choices about their health care. The trust focuses on health promotion and disease prevention while approaching health within a holistic framework of the whole of women's lives, rather than from a narrowly medical perspective.

American Cancer Society

MAMM is primarily a magazine that is devoted to meeting the needs of women diagnosed with breast and reproductive cancer but their site offers some of this information as well as additional resource links.

The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance is a conglomeration of leaders from 7 cancer groups who joined forces to establish a coordinated national effort to increase ovarian cancer education, policy and research.

HEALTH ADVOCACY

Healthy People 2010 is a set of health objectives for the people of the United States to achieve by 2010. This site offers information about how to make healthy choices for life as well as providing information regarding health education and advocacy efforts.

The Latina Health Initiative is an ongoing project of Our Bodies Ourselves that addresses health education and information needs of Latinas. The goal for this project is to provide opportunities for outreach, prevention awareness, and network-building in Spanish-speaking communities locally, nationally and internationally.

Minnesota African Women's Association (MAWA) MAWA promotes the health and well-being of African refugee and immigrant women and families by providing research, education, advocacy, and programming. Descriptions of outreach programs and events as well as health related information are provided on their website.

The Office of Minority Health (OMH) works to improve and protect the health of racial and ethnic minority populations through the development of health policies and programs that will eliminate health disparities. The OMH website serves as the office's main resource center, offering a variety of information about recent research, conferences, publications, and government actions that focus on minority health issues.

The Society for Women's Health Research is a general advocacy and educational organization for women's health issues. This site primarily offers information regarding women's health advocacy efforts, but also maintains an extensive list of health information links.

The Office on Women's Health (OWH) in the Dept of Health and Human Services is the government's champion and focal point for women's health issues, and works to redress inequities in research, health care services, and education.

National Center of Excellence in Women's Health - This program at UIC focuses on four core areas of women's health: clinical, community, research, and professional development. This site offers information about the program's work, opportunities to get involved and learn more about women's health issues, and professional development among other topics.

Take Time to Care About Women's Health is a program developed by the Office of Women's Health to encourage women to take time in their busy and hectic lives to care about their own health.

ADVOCACY ON WOMEN'S ISSUES

Minnesota Women's Press, Inc. promotes communication by, about, and among women that is grounded in a transforming feminist world view. The Minnesota Women's Press website includes a newspaper archive dating back to 1998 and recent columns related to a variety of women's issues.

Minnesota Women’s Consortium – As a statewide collaboration of over 150 member organizations, the MN Women’s Consortium serves as a resource center to enhance equality and justice for women and children. It is the only one of its kind in the U.S.

National Organization for Women (NOW) - NOW works to promote gender equality and women's rights across a broad spectrum of issues including reproductive rights and equal access in occupational and recreational opportunities.

The National Partnership for Women & Families is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that uses public education and advocacy to promote fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family.
